DON’T BE MOVED; YOU ARE OVER AND ABOVE ALL !!!

We used to watch this kids programme on national TV “Journey to The West” and we used to enjoy it so much. This programme was so much important to us, so enjoyable to the extent that some kids skip kids’ service on Sundays. The storyline was so fun and interesting to us then and many kids so admired the “monk” character to the extent that some even wished to be like him.

But quite recently, I tried watching it again and the storyline seemed so vague to me. The characters and everything about the programme seemed uninteresting. I then wondered if this was the same programme for which I would even skip kids service on Sundays to watch!

Then I realize that things do change over time. With time you can determine the things that are really important to you and the things which should have your attention. As you mature over time, you will begin to sieve things which are important to life and these things will now begin to interest you.

Situations come and go, they will always change. That is why you should always be in charge of every situation in life and not allow them to ruin you over. Don’t be ruled by situations, you rather ought to rule over them, because with time, situations do change. Situations only come to pass, so don’t be moved by them. Let situations adjust to you, not you adjusting to them. The Spirit of Excellence works in you, and He, the Holy Spirit is your ever present help, so heed to Him. (John 16:7,13) Let him influence your reasoning by God’s Word and He will lead you out and on. You are seated in heavenly places in CHRIST. You come from above ABOVE, and you are ABOVE ALL! (Jn 3:31) You dominate, you are not dominated. This should be your point of reference to life, functioning from a perspective of authority, dominion, grace, love and truth. 

Before long, you will look back and laugh and wonder if this was the same situation that almost ruined you. Remember, always be in control of whatever circumstance or issue you may face. Your response to these circumstances is what matters, not the circumstances themselves.

The Holy Spirit is our perfect guide and counselor in all things. He is our help and He shows us what to do and how to do it at all times. You are encouraged, the Helper is in you!

You can have be part of this fellowship with the Spirit of God by believing and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Please pray this prayer with me:

“Dear God, I thank you for your love which you demonstrated to me by your Son Jesus. Today, I confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that you raised him from the death. I receive eternal life into my spirit. Thank you Father, I am born again in Jesus Name”

Reality Of The Word Series:THERE IS NO MORE SIN TO BE CONDEMNED FOR?

John 1:29 reads “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him and saith , Behold the Lamb of God , which taketh away THE SIN of the world”. Wow! I read it again and realized it says THE SIN, and not even the sinS (plural) but THE SIN (singular, referring to a particular SIN). Wow! Jesus had already born or taken away this sin, of the whole world, He took that sin of the world upon himself, and paid the full price for it.

What is “THE SIN” that John was speaking about? When we read Romans 5:12-19, we learnt that sin entered the world by Adam, through his disobedience. Thus before the laws were given to the Israelites to obey, there was already sin in the world, which was the sin of disobedience by Adam, and this resulted in death (Rom 3:23) and brought God’s creation under the consequences of sin and the curse of the systems of the world. 

The law which was given was not meant to reduce sin but increase it (Rom 5:19-20), and the reason for this is for everyone to realise that no one can please God by following a set of dos and don’ts, but it is only by Grace through Jesus Christ that everyone can and should please God. That is why no matter the rights or wrong you do, if you don’t get saved through Jesus, you can’t please God because Jesus is THE ONLY way to the Father, THE Truth and The LIFE (John 14:6)

So just as how the disobedience of one man Adam, sin entered the world, the same way by the obedience of one man Jesus Christ, the full price of sin was paid, we were justified and made righteous, thus having a right standing with God. It didn’t just end there, we were given a new life, by which we have a family relationship with God. The very LIFE of God was imputed to us by us believing in Jesus. No wonder the Bible says that “As He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17b).

So how about people who keep doing bad things and evil in the world, aren’t they committing sin for which they should be condemned? Those people are acting out of ignorance, whether they act badly intentionally or unintentionally. The solution to their problem is THE GOSPEL. Light has come and appeared to all men, but some are blinded not to see this light (2 Cor 4:4). (This is the reason it is important to fervently pray for people all over the world to come to the saving knowledge of the gospel). For this reason, He sent us to reach out to these people and reveal the light of the Gospel to them in LOVE, yes IN LOVE, not by threatening them with hell fire or by forceful means.  LOVE is the means to reach out to them and the language every race in the earth understands.

Nonetheless, those people who keep committing sin whether they commit it intentionally or unintentionally will not be judged for what they are doing because firstly Jesus already paid for the sin of the world which includes them, and it will be unjust for God to judge them a second time for what Jesus already paid for. However if they don’t believe in the gospel after it had been preached to them, then they bring upon themselves the sin of unbelief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this sin they will be judged, but not the sins they committed by what they do or don’t do. The only thing left to be done now is to BELIEVE IN THIS GRACEFUL MESSAGE. 

What if someone is brought up in a way that he simply won’t believe the Gospel? Would it be just for God to condemn them too? Now the Holy Spirit convicts the heart of men, however it is man’s CHOICE to believe or not, so that man can be responsible for the consequences of his decision.

Moreover God made man for Himself, and only He God can satisfy the soul of man, only he can convict man to the point of realizing the truth. However, it is man’s choice to accept this conviction from the Spirit of God.

Wow! This Gospel is life indeed! It is the solution to the numerous problems the world is facing today. If only we can turn back to God, we will find all the answers we need.

This sets me on my toes always. This is an AWESOME TRUTH that needs to reach the billions of lives in bondage. We as the ambassadors of Christ here on earth are the heralds of this good news that needs to reach souls out there. Whatever platform you have, whether on social media, your school, workplace etc, always preach the good news. SALVATION is for EVERYBODY. IT IS FREE BECAUSE JESUS PAID FOR IT. THERE IS NOW NO SIN TO BE CONDEMNED FOR. IT’S NOT ABOUT WHAT WE ARE DOING OR NOT, IT IS ABOUT BELIEVING IN THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST THAT IS BEING PREACHED.

THIS MESSAGE IS TOO GREAT AND HOT TO BE HELD WITHIN WITHOUT PROCLAIMING IT TO THE WORLD.

Matthew 24:14 -  And this Gospel will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Now This Is The Gospel

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON (JESUS), that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have eternal Life (the God-kind of Life)

John 10:10 – The thief (satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that they may have life (The God-kind of life), and have it more abundantly

Having heard the Gospel, this is what you need to do (Rom 10:9-10):

1.       Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord

2.       Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved.

3.       Get a Bible and a book and begin to study how to live the victorious and blessed life you have come to receive

4.       Find a church near you and be consistent in attending

RECOGNIZE WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU'VE GOT!

RECOGNIZE WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU'VE GOT!

On my way to work as I was studying the book of Acts chapter 3, I got struck by something about the story of the man who sat at the gate of Beautiful. Apparently all he did was just to sit at the gate and ask for alms. Peter and John came by, as usual he asked them for alms. That was probably not the first time he asked them for alms, but that particular day, something different happened. What was the reason for the change in response on that particular day?

In Acts chapter 1:8, the bible says that “ You shall receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you”. No wonder this same Peter who denied Jesus before a little girl due to fear could stand before thousands of people to preach for them to accept Christ after he received the Holy Ghost. The Bible says that for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind (2Tim 1:7). After they received the Holy Ghost, Peter became so bold.

One that fateful day at the gate, Peter asked the man to look at him and he said “I don’t have silver and gold, but what I have I give you..IN THE NAME OF JESUS RISE UP AND WALK”. Then he took hold of the man, and his bones became strong and the man stood up and began walking! (Ref Acts 3:6-9) So what exactly was Peter referring to that he had?

When you read further down, the people questioned him about what he did and he answered saying “Jesus the author of life, the very source of life..” (Acts 3:15). He referred to Jesus as the very source of life, that is the producer of life, He himself is LIFE.  Jesus said, as the Father has life in Himself, so has He given the Son to have life in Himself (John 5:26). So what has this got to do with Peter or you and I?

John 1:16 says “Of his fullness have all we received, grace for grace”. WOW!!! It means everything which makes God who he is, we have received in fullness, not in bits, but in full measure! I am referring to God’s Life (ZOE), his Glory, His Virtue, His Power, His Love, His ability and the very content of God, we his sons have recieved ALL in full measure. No wonder we function as God! No wonder Peter recognized this truth about his identity and released LIFE to that crippled man that day so boldly! What Peter had in him was the God-Life.. a life full of the ability and power and glory of God! That Life which makes God who He is what we have inside us.. Now just like Peter, when you begin to accept this truth and walk in this awareness, you will begin to see things differently and your life will keep a steady upward trend.

What would God have done in your stead in whatever situation you face? You have that same life to do as he would do. It means that as a child of God, whatever situation is not pleasant to you, you can change it, by speaking LIFE to it, and it will respond! That which you ever need, is right inside you. Just like Peter, the day you acknowledge this truth and use it, things will change for you. The power to effect change is you. Be the change you want to see. Peter acknowledged this truth and he became a help to someone else, not only the crippled man, but the entire congregation and city. That is who God had made us, HELP and SOLUTION to this world, LIFE DISPENSERS. It means that if you fail to acknowledge this truth about yourself, you are doing your community and the world at large a disservice because God made you their solution.

To partake of this God-Life, all you need to do is to believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, and confess with your mouth that God raised him from the dead. This is the beginning of a new life where you reign in every circumstance.

The Sky Is Not The Limit !

In Christ, as far as you can see, you can achieve. When God asked Abraham to lift up his eyes to see, he saw the whole world through the eyes of the spirit (Ref : Genesis 13: 14-15). That statement was like a blank cheque and whatever you write on it is what you receive. Now, whatever you write on that blank cheque is dependent on the in-depth knowledge (epignosis) you have in God. If Abraham had seen only up to the end of the Jordan, that would have been how far he would have gotten. What you are able to see is dependent on your faith, and your faith is dependent on your “God-knowledge”.

2 Pet 1:2-“Grace and peace be multiplied to you though the KNOWLEDGE of God and Jesus Christ”. This is all up to you. You can multiply God’s grace and the peace (power over crises, Ps Chris Oyakhilome’s definition) of God on your life through the knowledge (epignosis) of God and of Jesus Christ our Lord. This means that you can always do more in Christ so long your knowledge of God and Christ Jesus keeps increasing. In Christ, the sky is not the limit. As far as your eyes can see, you can possess. Whatever you set your heart and mind to achieve you can always achieve it. Just like a blank cheque, our life in Christ is open, how much of it you enjoy is up to you. Don’t waste time coveting somebody else’s success; you don’t know what they do in their closet. Spend time delving into God’s word, studying, listening to gospel tapes; overtime you will see that the way you think and see things is aligned to God’s word, your “God-knowledge” increases and you are able to achieve more. 

With God, ANYTHING is POSSIBLE. It means you can keep going higher and doing the impossible, even more than Jesus did. John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and GREATER WORKS THAN THESE shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” If Jesus walked on water, then you can also fly if the need arises; have you ever thought of that? GREATER than what Jesus did, can you also do, because you believe in him. You see, God is bringing his church to a SUPERNATURAL LIFE CONSCIOUSNESS in these end times. Knowledge is progressive, the Word of God is being revealed to us in deeper truths, accept it and join the flow now because God is raising for him a people of SUPERNATURAL LIFE CONSCIOUSNESS. As I said, the sky is not the limit, as far as your eyes can see, it shall be done unto you. 

By our belief in Christ Jesus, we are destined to REIGN IN LIFE! Romans 5:17.. “For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; MUCH MORE THEY WHICH RECEIVE ABUNDANCE OF GRACE AND OF THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL REIGN IN LIFE BY ONE, JESUS CHRIST.”

2 Peter 3:18 “But GROW IN GRACE, AND IN THE KNOWLEDGE of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever”

Acts 20:32 “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, WHICH IS ABLE TO BUILD YOU UP, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified”

The above scriptures make us understand that we can increase in knowledge, not “sense knowledge” but “God-knowledge”. By “GOD-KNOWLEDGE” I mean coming to the consciousness or reality or understanding of who God is and who he has made you. So long as you keep increasing in this knowledge, you keep making strides in anything you set out to do. Whatever you succeed at is just not enough because there is so much more you can always attain, there is so much more you can always do. In Christ, it is upward and forward ever. Just think about what you have just read, there is always so much more you can always achieve in Christ.

You can begin your journey of such a life by simply deciding to have a Father-Son relationship with God today by simply doing this: CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH THAT JESUS IS LORD, AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD!!!
